Most of Michael Jackon fans around the world mourn for his sudden death and to remember his greatness most of his fanatics including the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation inmates gave tribute by dancing again the tune of MJ hits.

Cebu Inmates Tribute to the King of POP

Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center inmates will dance again their famous “Thriller Dance” today June 27, 2009 that made them popular in the world.
The dance will be their tribute to Michael Jackson who died in heart attack.
“Kung ‘di dahil sa kantang ‘Thriller’ ‘di magkakaroon ng global recognition ang mga inmates ng Cebu [If it weren’t for ‘Thriller’ the Cebu inmates wouldn’t have global recognition].”
The inmates from Cebu gained a total of 24, 117, 130 views on YouTube and keeps on increasing each day. They also recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the best viral videos of the year.

I am very excited this coming July 1, 2009 (Thursday) for the Ribbon - Cutting and Opening Ceremony of the upcoming 2nd Filipino Expo 2009 in Dubai.
This will be my first Pinoy Event coverage in Dubai so hopefully I can post great pictures and informative articles during this once a year event.

Two Kabayans got jailed in UAE because of Alcohol

Two Filipinos in the United Arab of Emirates (UAE) got two months jail sentence because of liquor drinking. The two Kabayans got caught drinking outside their accomadation in Sharjah, UAE.
Valeriano took the opportunity to warn other Filipinos in the UAE to avoid excessive drinking sprees so as not to get in trouble.
“I know that it is your way of enjoyment, but it is difficult for you to go against UAE laws against drunkenness. If arrested for such a crime, there are dire consequences not only on the person but on his employment as he can be deported after serving jail,” he said.

36 new cases of A(H1N1) flu in Philippines

The Department of Health has reported 36 new mild cases of A(H1N1) in the Philippines today and that makes a total of 428 confirmed cases. It involves 15 males and 21 females with the age ranges from 2 to 59 years old.
Duque noted that 34 of the cases are Filipinos, while the remaining two are foreigners. He added that 6 of the new cases have a history of travel to a country affected with the novel virus.
Duque said that all of these new patients are responding positively to their treatments.
Duque continued to remind the public that the simplest ways to avoid getting the flu are to wash hands thoroughly and to cover mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, respectively.

Philippines Youth Football Team quarantined in Singapore

A member of teen footballers from the Philippines found positive for the A(H1N1) virus in Singapore. Other team members which includes Coaches and Team Doctor were quarantined in a beach resort for isolation purposes.
Singapore has quarantined 19 members of a Philippine youth football team after one player tested positive for swine flu ahead of a regional sports competition, officials said on Sunday.
The 17 players and two coaches were brought to a beach resort set up to isolate foreigners for quarantine purposes, and strict checks are to be carried out on all incoming participants in the Asian Youth Games.
They were brought to the beach resort on Saturday and would be there for seven days, Alvin Hang, spokesman for the games’ organising committee, told AFP.

Swine Flu in UAE - the Fifth Case

Another reported swine flu case just entered the area of UAE, and this time an Expat most probably came from vacation abroad.
The woman, an expatriate resident in the UAE, returned from abroad on Friday, and is being treated at a hospital.
The ministry had earlier announced two new cases of H1N1, in addition to the first two cases.
